Loving Life

Ashtynn in the morning time. Yes that is Clint grubby old shoe she has her foot in.

Ashtynn in pink for the Breast Cancer Awareness volleyball game we had last week. October is breast cancer awareness month and the volleyball girls had a game were people could donate money for the cause. The coaches wore pink and the girls wore pink socks and warm-up shirts. It was fun and for a good cause.

So my volleyball season came to an end this last weekend. We played in a district tournament against all the local teams. I worked the night before and showed up loaded with as much caffeine as possible. My team played great in the first game and beat Skyline, then we had to play Rigby (whom we have played 6 times in regular season and lost). We played awesome and finally beat them. We then played Madison and lost then beat Rigby again! We lost to Madison again and ended up second. The girls played well and I was very proud of them! The varsity girls are going to the state tournament next weekend up in northern Idaho though and we will be there too. Clint's dad lives up there and we decided it was a great time take another trip. This way we kill two birds with one stone. It will be over Halloween so all you relatives that live close, plan to see my child in her Halloween costume trick-or-treating on a random day some time next week!
The last few days have been kinda weird with nothing to do in the afternoon since volleyball is over. Today we went shopping for a few quick things to get ready for the long car ride next week. We were just walking through Kmart toy section and I glanced down the aisle and got soooo excited!! There, on the shelf, was the Power Wheels Barbie Volkswagon Beetle that I have been searching for for the past 6 months!! I saw it in a random ad back then and loved it but didn't have a reason to buy it. A few weeks after seeing the ad I decided I wanted it anyway and began searching. There were none in town, there were none online. I read blogs about moms looking for this cute car and they couldn't find any either. I started to give up and have recently just here-and-there been searching online, only to find people selling it for $500 plus! So you can see how excited I was to find one for the regular price $130 at Kmart where I quickly snatched it up and put it on layaway. HOORAY!!! I remember when I was little wanting a Barbie car and not getting one, so I must live through my child. I am sure you are all as excited about it as I am and can't wait to see her riding in it on Christmas morning in the snow!!

Sooooo cute, huh?!!

Looks like a cute car! You don't have to make her drive it in the snow. Just pull your cars out of the garage and let her drive it in there. By the way, is she old enough to be driving yet? I know Astynn really will be Jordann's favorite cousin now!
